Job DescriptionJob DescriptionMechanical Design Engineer (RF Focus) – Crossville, TN $42–$48/hour (depending on experience) | Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm A leading local manufacturer of coaxial RF connectors, adaptors, and cable assemblies is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with RF experience to join our growing engineering team. Our products support high-performance applications across Aerospace & Defense, Medical, Industrial, and Cryogenics sectors. Position Overview:As a key member of our engineering team, you'll play a hands-on role in designing precision RF components and assemblies, collaborating closely with our teams in Tennessee and the UK. This is an office-based role located in Crossville, TN. Key Responsibilities:

• Design products and tooling using SolidWorks (components, assemblies, engineering drawings, and prototypes)
• Assign part numbers and descriptions per internal engineering standards
• Create and maintain part numbers and BOMs using the E-Max ERP System
• Support costing and labor estimation for RF cable assemblies and components
• Provide technical assistance to the sales and manufacturing teams
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives for production engineering and cost savings
• Maintain drawing and part number databases
• Document engineering procedures and processes

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience in RF/microwave connector design (required)
• Background in cryogenic component design ( but not required)
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers
• Creative and detail-oriented approach to engineering challenges
• Willingness to travel to customer and company sites as needed

Pay & Schedule:

• Hourly Pay: $42.00–$48.00 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm
