Mechanical Design Engineer - Delta Industrial Services : Job Details

Job DescriptionMechanical Engineer 11/07/2024 Position Type/Hours: Full-time position. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Position Profile: This position is responsible for designing mechanical assemblies for custom web converting equipment. Essential Functions:

• Work closely with Design Engineers while developing new assemblies/new design concepts
• Design mechanical parts and assemblies according to sketches, diagrams, blueprints and other instructions using Inventor 3D Cad & AutoCad 2D; including assembly drawings and part detail drawings
• Complete required documentation such as the Bill of Materials, including assignment of part and assembly numbers
• Select qualified vendors of required purchased mechanical parts such as bearings, fittings, fasteners, sensors, valves, etc.
• Procure and integrate purchased process components, i.e. Vision, Printers, Lasers, drying systems, etc.
• Provide documentation and periodic maintenance to the manuals department
• Attend and occasionally lead technical design reviews, conference calls and meetings

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge
• Competent in the use of 3D modeling and CAD software
• Familiar with AutoCAD 2D
