Mechanical Claims Examiner

This person will work as a technical advisor to any claims being processed. The Mechanical Claims Examiner will connect with service advisors and technicians at dealerships to ensure the correct repairs are being done. This person must be familiar with working on a computer and have a background as an automotive technician/mechanic.

Responsibilities:

• Complete claim reports.
• Document loss by obtaining cost, prices, and labor costs.
• Provide claim information and status to existing open or pending claims.
• Deliver outstanding service to customers.
• Demonstrates the ability to effectively handle difficult situations.

Qualifications:

• Hands-on mechanical experience in combination with strong customer service skills.
• Auto technician experience.
• Experience working with MS Outlook, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
• Strong typing skills.
• ASE certifications are preferred.

Hours:

• Monday-Friday between 7 am-7 pm (Shift assigned between those hours)
• Rotating Saturday s 8 am-3 pm
• Hybrid Schedule: WFH Monday, Friday; Onsite Tuesday-Thursday
• Remote opportunities are available as well if too far from Austin, TX
