Mechanical Assembler

Join our team as a Mechanical Assembler, where you will be responsible for the mechanical assembly of panel housing units using hand or power tools. Your role will involve installing electrical panels into housing units, ensuring they fit perfectly into cut-out openings. You will utilize grinders and flat files to make small adjustments and smooth out rough edges. This position requires daily use of hand, power, and pneumatic tools, as well as reading and using blueprints and schematics. You will also be responsible for assembling mounting and electrical systems and documenting product issues using computer programs like Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Assemble panel housing units with mechanical components.
• Install electrical panels into housing units with precision.
• Adjust and refine cuts using grinders and flat files.
• Daily use of hand, power, and pneumatic tools.
• Assemble mounting and electrical systems efficiently.
• Interpret and utilize blueprints and schematics.
• Lift up to 50 lbs throughout the workday.
• Document product issues using computer software.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Experience in mechanical assembly and panel building.
• Blueprint and schematic reading skills.
• Ability to use small saws and metal files/grinders.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with tape measures for precise measurements.
• Basic computer skills, particularly in Excel and Word.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gaylord, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
