To apply, please visit www.betafueling.com/careers .Job Purpose:The Mechanical Assembler will assemble, fit, fasten, and install parts for aviation fueling equipment and modules per blueprints and design specifications. Our Mechanical Assemblers work in a team environment but are also required to perform duties autonomously and with a quality first focus. Work hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm with occasional overtime required and occasional Saturday.Job Duties:Read and interpret blueprints, illustrations, and specifications to determine layouts, sequences of operations, or identities and relationships of partsAlign and fit structural assemblies manually, or signal forklift and hoist operators to position assemblies for joiningAssemble prefabricated parts to form subassemblies; includes hydraulics, pneumatic, and fuel components and fittingsAssemble, install, and connect parts, fittings, and assemblies on equipment, using layout tools, hand tools, power tools, and fasteners such as bolts, screws, rivets, and clampsPosition and align subassemblies in jigs or fixtures, using measuring instruments and following blueprint lines and index pointsCut, trim, file, bend, and smooth parts, and verify sizes and fitting tolerances to ensure proper fit and clearance of partsJoin structural assemblies; includes vehicle chassis and other subassembliesAssist in plant operations when needed and perform other duties as assignedEducation and Experience Required:High school diploma or GED preferredPost-secondary certificate highly preferred in aviation, mechanical, production, or maintenance tradesAutomotive diagnosis and repair experience preferred, specifically engine and chassisExperience with hydraulics and pneumatics preferredExperience with automotive fueling systems or aviation fueling systems is a plusKnowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenanceFamiliar with industrial safety environment and use of common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, welding helmet, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and hard hats (BETA will provide or reimburse)Physical requirements - using hands to handle, control or feel objects and tools, ability to read written instructions, lift and/or move materials up to 50 pounds independently, ability to work in manufacturing environment with loud noises, unregulated temperaturesBETA offers paid time off, 9 paid holidays, medical, dental, vision, life, and short-term and long-term disability insurance.
