Job Description :
Description The mechanic will perform a variety of activities through the application of knowledge that denote expertise in light and heavy duty equipment maintenance. Under the supervision of the Shop Supervisor, helps schedule/perform repair and preventative maintenance on the motor coach fleet. Also, assist with related duties as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance on motor coach vehicles and scheduled maintenance on other shop equipment
  • Be able to work within safety and OSHA guidelines
  • Perform the required paperwork and/or computer records accordingly
  • Be able to learn software to open/close work orders, log services performed, document work hours, parts used and repairs completed on a daily basis
  • Use of welder (arc & acetylene) and torch to fabricate and build as required
  • perform other duties as assigned from Shop Supervisor or Director of Maintenance

Requirements Qualifications
  • College degree OR 2+ years industry experience
  • Technical certification from ASE is preferred, and/or in house training offered
Requirements
  • Valid Class B CDL (Minimum)-----ELDT Training available (Theory & BTW)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to pass drug screening upon hire, and pass random testing
  • Position contingent upon passing a criminal background check
  • Full color vision is essential for job requirements
  • Occasional weekend availability may be needed
  • Possible on-call shifts, as needed
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledge of Federal and state safety rules and regulations, occupational hazards, safety precautions in a shop environment, and drug and alcohol testing guidelines for CDL
  • Must have basic math knowledge
  • Basic record keeping and computer skills
  • Maintain a clean work environment
  • able to work cooperatively with others as a team, as well as independently with minimal supervision
  • read, interpret, understand, and apply technical manuals, schematics, diagrams, specifications, and parts catalog
  • Strong verbal communication skills
