Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with food preparation, which includes chopping vegetables and preparing salads.
- Serve meals to residents in accordance with their dietary needs and portion sizes.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Engage positively with residents, staff, and guests, ensuring outstanding customer service.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Prior experience in food service or a kitchen environment is beneficial but not mandatory.
- The ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively in a team.
- Maintain a positive attitude and effectively communicate with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership.
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies is a must.
- Capable of lifting or carrying up to 30 pounds, pushing or pulling up to 50 pounds, and standing, sitting, bending, and walking for extended periods.
- Must be able to repetitively perform routine tasks continuously.
- Able to work around food and cleaning products.
- A current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required based on State/County law.
- Residency within the service area is required.
