Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with food preparation, which includes chopping vegetables and preparing salads.
• Serve meals to residents in accordance with their dietary needs and portion sizes.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Engage positively with residents, staff, and guests, ensuring outstanding customer service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Prior experience in food service or a kitchen environment is beneficial but not mandatory.
• The ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively in a team.
• Maintain a positive attitude and effectively communicate with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies is a must.
• Capable of lifting or carrying up to 30 pounds, pushing or pulling up to 50 pounds, and standing, sitting, bending, and walking for extended periods.
• Must be able to repetitively perform routine tasks continuously.
• Able to work around food and cleaning products.
• A current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required based on State/County law.
• Residency within the service area is required.
