Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in food preparation, including chopping vegetables and preparing salads.
• Serve meals to residents, considering dietary needs and appropriate portion sizes.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation protocols.
• Provide excellent customer service through positive interactions with residents, staff, and guests.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in food service or a kitchen environment is preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with a team.
• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with residents, administration, and HCSG leadership.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies is required.
• Ability to lift and carry a maximum weight of 30 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, and stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
• Capability to perform routine, repetitive tasks consistently.
• Able to work around food and cleaning products.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification required, based on State / County law.
• Residency within the service area is mandatory.
