Summary of Position

The Director of Kids Ministry is a full-time position providing direction and oversight for the entire Kids Ministry (infant – 5th grade) at McLean Bible Church Loudoun County. Responsibilities include developing programming for children's spiritual growth and equipping parents as primary disciple-makers. The director will collaborate with other MBC Kids Ministry teams and report to the Pastor at MBC Loudoun.

Responsibilities

• Implement a cohesive strategy for Kids Ministry aligned with MBC's vision and mission.
• Oversee all programming for children birth – 5th grade, including Sunday mornings, summer programs, and special events.
• Recruit, train, and evaluate ministry staff and volunteers to disciple children effectively.
• Support and equip parents in making disciples of their children.
• Review and oversee curriculum selection for different age groups.
• Ensure safety and security policies are followed to protect minors.
• Create and maintain a safe, engaging, and welcoming environment.
• Plan catalytic events and activities to promote discipleship.
• Assist in budgeting and manage expenses for the ministry.

Other Responsibilities

• Maintain membership and involvement in MBC.
• Attend annual training and development events.
• Aim to become a leader in kids ministry.
• Perform ministerial functions as assigned.

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience leading children's ministry, including managing staff and volunteers.
• BA or BS degree preferred.

Reports To

• Supervises Kids Ministry Associate.
