Role Overview

The Purchaser will be responsible for hiring subcontractors and vendors for specific construction projects, working collaboratively with the project team to ensure timely and budget-compliant procurement.

Responsibilities / Essential Functions
  • Hire subcontractors and vendors for projects.
  • Define scope of work for trade packages.
  • Collaborate with estimators and project managers to meet deadlines and budgets.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and vendors.
  • Oversee prequalification, bidding, and award processes.
  • Conduct risk analysis related to subcontractors and vendors.
  • Draft subcontracts and purchase agreements.
  • Lead meetings with subcontractors and vendors.
  • Facilitate proposal and review meetings.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in management, construction management, engineering, or relevant field.
  • 2-5 years of procurement or similar experience, preferably in construction.
  • Knowledge of construction schedules, drawings, and specifications.
  • Experience reviewing estimates and budgets, evaluating proposals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
