Materials Planning & Procurement Analyst

This role is responsible for analyzing forecasts, planning inventory and managing the procurement of raw materials to support Operations. This role ensures optimal inventory levels, timely purchasing, supplier relationship management and supports overall supply chain efficiency.

What You'll Do:
  • Understands and upholds B Corp principles which consider all stakeholder groups: community, customers, environment, governance and workers.
  • Monitor inventory levels on site as well as at 3PL partner facilities to ensure materials are on site and available to meet customer needs.
  • Collaborate with planning, production, sales and logistics to ensure seamless planning and fulfillment.
  • Source and purchase raw materials, components and services to support production and business operations.
  • Manage communications with vendors, carriers and storage partners regarding order fulfillment, transit and storage.
  • Resolve issues related to delivery delays, quality discrepancies and material shortages or damage.
  • Work cross functionally with internal departments to ensure alignment on supply chain goals.
  • Monitor inventory levels, analyze demand patterns and implement inventory management strategies to manage stock levels, avoid shortages or excess inventory and reduce carrying costs.
  • Manage supplier relationships, including regular communications, performance evaluations and issue resolution.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cost, quality and on time delivery to identify areas for improvement and report on effectiveness.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve procurement practices, including identifying cost-saving opportunities and process enhancements.
  • Collaborate cross functionally with sales, planning, finance, and operations to support operational goals.
Who You Are:
  • Strong communicator who can establish and maintain effective working relationships across all levels
  • Possess strong teamwork and leadership skills with an ability to foster a positive and productive environment with cross functional teams
  • Proficiency utilizing ERP systems and spearheading performance improvement opportunities
  • Dedicated advocate for health, safety, environment and compliance, ensuring the highest standards for food safety, regulatory adherence, and quality assurance across all operational areas
  • Champion of sustainability who aligns operational strategies with the company's values, ensuring eco-friendly practices and ethical sourcing throughout the supply chain.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in operations leadership, preferably in food and beverage manufacturing.
  • Expertise in supply chain optimization, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced supply chain management tools.
  • Exceptional leadership and servant leadership skills, with a focus on team development and empowerment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Deep understanding of food safety regulations, quality assurance, and operational compliance.
