Job OverviewTE Connectivity's Materials Planning Teams are responsible for the plans, schedules, and monitoring of the movement of material through the production cycle. They determine quantity and order date for materials to meet production or engineering schedules, initiate purchase or production requisitions compliant with supply agreements, and develop the schedule to be used in the production facility based on forecasts and historical analysis. The team develops specifications for new contract orders as well as forecasts and plans for labor requirements. They provide timely and accurate input on supplier performance and may be asked to participate in higher level supplier performance reviews with the strategic sourcing team. They also monitor cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value.
TE Connectivity is seeking a Materials Planner within PPS NA operations. This position, reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, is responsible for the production planning of product that is manufactured or supplied at outside suppliers. The role will include close co-ordination with process engineering, production management, demand management, strategic purchasing, customer service, shipping, and supplier quality. The Materials Planner will handle the day-to-day activities involved in planning and executing within the SAP manufacturing planning system. Successful planning will create the proper inventory investment to achieve the business unit cash-flow expectations.
This position requires access to information that is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent residents, persons granted asylee status in the U.S., or persons admitted into the U.S. as a refugee.
Responsibilities:
3-5+ years' experience in a Supply Chain related position.
Bachelor's degree in related field or proven equivalent required.
Strong understanding of Material Resource Planning systems.

SAP Production Planning experience preferred.
APICS certification preferred.
