Job Title: Materials Manager (Production Control Specialist)

Location: North Westborough, MA (Onsite)

Type: 6-Month Contract | M–F, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Industry: Robotics Manufacturing | Supply Chain | Production Control

About the Role:

We're seeking a skilled Materials Manager to lead production control and material flow for a high-volume robotics manufacturing environment. This role is critical to ensuring material readiness, supporting new product introductions (NPI), and driving operational excellence through lean manufacturing practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engineer end-to-end material flows from supplier receipt to line-side delivery
  • Develop and maintain PFEP (Plan for Every Part)
  • Coordinate production scheduling and material staging
  • Monitor build plan adherence and job flow velocity
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams
  • Implement Kanban, JIT, and visual management systems
  • Manage MRP and MES systems for real-time inventory control

Success Metrics:

  • Material Build Readiness %
  • Aged Transaction Reports
  • On-Time Delivery / Build Plan Adherence

What We're Looking For:

  • 3+ years in manufacturing, supply chain, or materials management
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing (Kanban, JIT, Kaizen)
  • Experience with MRP/MES systems
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and data analysis skills
  • Bonus: APICS certification, Kinaxis experience, or a Master's in Supply Chain
