The company is seeking a Materials Manager to oversee and coordinate activities related to distributing materials, equipment, and supplies at its East Arlington, VT facility. This highly visible role involves supervising the shipping and receiving departments, including interviewing, hiring, training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining staff, and resolving complaints.

Responsibilities also include managing production schedules, overseeing inventories, conducting cycle counts, managing warehousing operations, ensuring inventory accuracy, and coordinating transportation of materials between facilities. The role involves designing and maintaining material handling processes and equipment, and driving improvement programs to reduce inventories, increase efficiency, and improve delivery performance.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university, with 2-4 years of related experience or training. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Additionally, candidates should have APICS certification, 3-5 years of experience with ERP systems (preferably MAPICS), and working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software.
