Materials Lab Engineer - General Motors : Job Details

Work Arrangement. This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Warren, MI, three times per week, at minimum [or other frequency dictated by the business]. The Role. You will be responsible for performing hands on testing, providing test direction and resolving complex technical issues on a variety projects. You will need to be creative and take initiative as well as use a high level of independent discernment. What You'll Do (Responsibilities)The engineer will provide materials characterizations and failure analysis to support development and current production changes for Battery Cells, EV & ICE Components, VDDV & Material Cards. The lab engineer will perform specialized sample preparation and operation of analytical equipment to characterize virtually every component in GM vehicles.
