Description Position at Putnam Hospital Center Nuvance Health is a network of convenient hospital and outpatient locations - Danbury Hospital, New Milford Hospital, Norwalk Hospital, and Sharon Hospital in Connecticut and Northern Dutchess Hospital, Putnam Hospital Center, and Vassar Brothers Medical Center in New York - plus multiple primary and specialty care physician practice locations including The Heart Center and non-acute care affiliates.SUMMARY: Request products as determined, weekly cycle counts; follow-up on order status with Purchasing to ensure stock availability. Handle ordering and replenishing products on patient care units and other departments. Main focus is the distribution of supplies and equipment to all areas of the facilities to support patient care.RESPONSIBILITIES: Project usage of products and order par cart levels daily in service areasNotify management of overstock/picking errors to be returned to the Distribution CenterMaintain effective communication with customers, co-workers, and team membersProvide accurate documentation of department transactionsComplete scheduled and unscheduled assignments in a timely manner Deliver items/requisitions to appropriate area, after receiptAnswer phone/Vocera in a friendly and courteous mannerRecord information for General Stock Requests and deliver supplies to appropriate personnel/unitReport shortages to appropriate personnelReceive items using the proper equipment and receiving proceduresDeliver Fed Ex, UPS, Air Borne and other requested items by the end of the business dayMaintain a clean and orderly environment for the Materials Handling Departments areas of responsibilityComply with JACHO regulations as outline for Inventory storage Properly store supplies, nothing left on floor and maintain clean areasRotate stock and check for expiring productsPhysical inventory counts during semi-annual inventoryREQUIREMENTS: High School diploma or GED and 2 yr. of healthcare or warehousing, supply chain management or purchasing experienceBasic MS Outlook, Teams, and Word experience, familiarity with hand-held inventory devicesPolite customer service attitude, flexible and available to provide staffing assistance for any/all disaster or emergencyWORKING CONDITIONS: Lift approximately 70 lbs.Walking, stooping, kneeling, and standingMust be able to push and pull a variety of carts and materials handling equipmentFast paced quality and patient care supply areaClean environment with some poor lighting and drafty work areasCompany: Putnam Hospital CenterOrg Unit: 1076Department: Materials Dist CenterExempt: NoSalary Range: $19.67/hour
