Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks and carts, either gasoline or electrically powered, while receiving incoming shipments or items.Signs shipping and receiving reports. Reports overages, shortages, or damaged items to supervisor or other responsible person according to established procedures.Within the general warehousing plan completes assignments without instructions. Work is subject to spot checks for accuracy and completeness.Follows established procedures for reporting damaged, tampered, or deteriorated items. Unusual problems or difficulties encountered are brought to the attention of the supervisor.Selects and sets up proper storage areas for materials within the general warehouse plan considering size, shape, quantity, use, and possibility of damage, deterioration, and contamination to or from other items.Selects and assembles items for shipment or issue. Assembles items for shipping according to information on receiving vouchers.
