Materials Handler Shift: Monday - Friday First/Second/Third shift

Pay Rate: $19 - 20 per hour

Location: Lorton VA

We are looking for a motivated Materials Handler to become a crucial part of our client's team. In this role, you will be responsible for the smooth and timely flow of materials, keeping the production floor stocked and ensuring products get where they need to go. What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, etc.) and other material handling equipment to move products and materials throughout the facility.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished goods from trucks and trailers.
• Supply production lines with the necessary materials to maintain workflow and prevent downtime.
• Transport finished products from production areas to the warehouse or shipping docks.
• Perform inventory control tasks, including cycle counts and maintaining accurate records using RF scanners or other systems.
• Inspect materials for damage, verify quantities against shipping documents, and report any discrepancies.
• Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and production staff to ensure operational efficiency.

What You'll Need: Requirements

• Must have previous experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Must have proven, hands-on experience operating a forklift; current certification is highly preferred.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong understanding of warehouse and forklift safety procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, bills of lading (BOLs), and work instructions.
• Physical ability to frequently lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. and be on your feet for the entire shift.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• A reliable team player with a strong, positive work ethic.
