Job Title: Materials Clerk - Correctional Health - Evenings Requisition Number: 41337 Employment Type: Full Time Division: CORRECTIONAL HEALTH Compensation Type: Hourly Job Category: Support Services Hours Worked: Wed-Sun 12P-8:30P Location: Correctional Health Shift Worked: Evenings Job Description: Job Summary: The Material Clerk Correctional Health is responsible coordinating all clinical and non-clinical supply ordering and receiving. This position also provides back-up to other staff as needed and has delegated authority for purchase of goods in an effective manner consistent with the user needs and JPS Hospital Policy and Procedure.Serves both the interdepartmental and intradepartmental customers. They will interact with outside agencies and vendors as well. Essential Job Functions & Accountabilities:

Coordinates equipment/supply trials and evaluates, as requested by management team.

Coordinates special purchases for department, orders only through the assigned Materials Management Buyer.

Demonstrates customer service behavior in day-to-day behavior.

Ensures treatment areas have appropriate type and volume of equipment and medical supplies to facilitate patient care.

Maintains department inventory list of capital assets.

Identifies malfunctioning equipment and ensures that it is appropriately repaired and reported to management.

Reports shortages of equipment to management.

Qualifications: Required Qualifications:

• 2 plus years' experience in a materials management environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 plus years medical terminology experience.
• 2 plus years data entry experience.
