PC&L Associate

Position Summary: The PC&L Associate is responsible for loading and unloading materials to and from production lines, storage areas, and trailers. The operator is responsible for following the job responsibilities within the plant and/or warehouse while operating in a fast-paced environment.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Loads product, unloads product, receives product, ships product, moves materials at elevated heights, and issues material using system transactions.
  • Safely operates all equipment to which the individual is certified (ex): Sit-down Forklifts, Stand Up Lifts (Both Reach and Pacer), Tuggers, Electric Jacks.
  • Reads and understands work instructions and/or follows oral instructions to execute the material flow requirements.
  • Manually loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, baskets, and shelves on foot and by hand as required.
  • Accurately and timely enters materials transactional information into SAP and other systems as required.
  • Reads electronic and manual bill of materials, pull sheets, pick sheets to retrieve and deliver necessary materials for operations.
  • Support 5S/Housekeeping activities as required.
  • Use appropriate deviation areas, hold tags, to process defective parts through nonconforming material procedure.
  • Loads/Unloads materials into trailers adhering to Dock Safety Protocol.
  • Meet physical logistics KPI's, Associate Engagement and Teamwork.
  • Adherence to FIFO standards throughout all storage areas and material flow points.
  • Wear all required PPE and follow box cutting safety protocols.

Safety, Health and Physical Requirements:

  • Stand for long periods of time including during operation of stand-up lifts.
  • Lifting shoulder high up to 35 lbs repetitively.
  • Stepping up and down off lift; walking long distances over extended periods.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working in a non-climate-controlled environment.
  • Repetitive motion activities including but not limited to box cutting, standing, lifting, loading/unloading carts.

Education & Experience:

  • Education: High School diploma or GED required
  • Experience: 3 months of Powered Industrial Truck experience required
  • Active Forklift Certification License preferred
  • Knowledge of SAP/ERP systems preferred
  • Experience in fast paced industrial lean environment preferred
  • Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of SAP Inventory software; Excel Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
