Material Loader - Precision Terminal Logistics : Job Details

Overview: Join our dynamic team as a Material Loader where safety and reliability are paramount. In this role, you will be integral in efficiently loading and unloading materials while adhering to strict safety protocols. Key Responsibilities:

• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and use appropriate tools for safe task completion.
• Safely climb railcars, trailers, or elevated platforms utilizing the three-point contact technique.
• Lift, pull, or push items weighing up to 80 pounds, using proper lifting techniques to prevent injury.
• Manage tasks that involve stooping, bending, squatting, and standing for extended periods.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions, adapting to environmental factors to ensure safety and productivity.
• Maintain necessary documentation such as checklists, arrivals, departures, and incident reports.
• Communicate effectively with team members regarding verification processes, safety concerns, and timely incident reporting.
• Collaborate with management to ensure an efficient workplace and adherence to schedules.
• Follow established procedures for the safe handling and storage of materials, including hazardous substances.
• Engage in regular safety training sessions and maintain adherence to safety policies.
• Perform equipment maintenance as needed.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not necessary.
• Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, including documentation capabilities.
• Physical stamina to handle manual labor tasks.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions and adapt to changing environments.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to safety protocols.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Additional Requirements:

• Willingness to undergo hands-on supervised training.
• Must pass pre-employment background screening and drug testing.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
• Engagement in housekeeping duties like maintaining bathrooms, breakrooms, and equipment cleaning when required.
• Participation in daily safety meetings is mandatory.
