If our mission speaks to you, we encourage you to apply!We're looking for a Material Handling Manager to play a pivotal role in streamlining our warehouse storage and ensuring proficient material flow. You'll collaborate closely with supply chain and manufacturing teams to develop strategic solutions for organizing and handling materials, which is crucial for keeping our operations running smoothly. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys problem-solving and wants to make a tangible impact on the productivity of our business.You Will:
  • Develop and manage inventory tracking systems to ensure precise stock levels and oversee replenishment processes. Conduct regular audits and implement control procedures to maintain inventory integrity. Analyze data to forecast future inventory needs and coordinate with procurement to optimize stock levels.
  • Oversee daily warehouse operations, implementing strategies for proficient space utilization and coordinating the progress of goods. Ensure all processes meet company standards and optimize material flow to boost productivity. Manage staff schedules and task assignments to maintain an organized and effective warehouse.
  • Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations and conduct regular safety training for warehouse staff. Implement robust emergency procedures for handling incidents and regularly inspect equipment and storage areas to identify and mitigate safety hazards.
  • Lead and inspire warehouse staff to meet productivity goals and organize training to improve their skills and knowledge. Delegate tasks appropriately and address conflicts to ensure smooth team communication. Monitor team performance and report on key metrics.
  • Schedule and oversee regular maintenance and inspections of warehouse equipment, establishing preventive procedures to minimize downtime. Liaise with vendors for prompt repairs and servicing and keep meticulous records of maintenance and equipment performance. Train staff on proper handling techniques to reduce wear and tear and assess new equipment for potential integration into our processes.
  • Work in tandem with cross-functional teams to synchronize logistics operations with production timelines, ensuring a seamless material flow.
You Have:
  • 2+ years with supply chain coordination
  • 2+ years with maintenance scheduling for warehouse equipment
  • Proficiency in inventory management software
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS)
  • Knowledge of supply chain logistics software
  • Ability to develop and manage inventory tracking systems
  • Skills in data analysis for inventory forecasting
  • Expertise in space utilization and warehouse layout optimization
  • Knowledge with material handling equipment operation and maintenance
  • Experience in coordinating goods movement within a warehouse setting
  • Knowledge of emergency procedure implementation for warehouse incidents
  • Experience in conducting safety inspections and hazard assessments in a warehouse environment
  • Proven track record of improving warehouse productivity
  • History of successful warehouse layout reorganization projects
  • Evidence of successful cross-functional team collaboration to streamline logistics
Compensation Range:$68,000- $113,000/ yearYour actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills and experience.At Assembly, we aim for genuine inclusion and belonging.
