Material Handler Retail - Goodwill : Job Details

The Material Handler is responsible for daily operations of bailers used for salvage textiles. They are also responsible for equipment upkeep, and maintaining a clean, neat and safe work environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Operates baler to contain salvaged textiles: Removes incoming container to baler staging area; Transfer materials from storage truck to baler; Loads and operates baler according to established procedures; Unloads completed bales according to established procedures and places in holding areas; Moves bales from holding area to bale storage area; Transfer bales to tractor trailer from bale storage area using material handling equipment; Maintains bale storage area according to guidelines; Moves Gaylord containers to donated goods storage area. Follow the Warehouse guidelines for salvage production goals and monthly revenue totals. Effectively manage personnel, fiscal and logistical resources based on mission.
