Temporary Material Handler
We are seeking a reliable Temporary Material Handler to support our receiving operations during a short-term leave of absence coverage. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehousing or manufacturing environments and be comfortable performing both physical and electronic inventory tasks. This role involves unloading deliveries, sorting materials, updating systems, and ensuring inventory accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming deliveries using pallet jacks
- Perform receiving, inspection, and inventory transactions
- Accurately sort and route materials according to material plans
- Input data and update inventory systems to reflect current status
- Move materials to appropriate stockroom or production locations
- Operate equipment including hand tools, microscopes, and ESD tools as needed
- Follow proper handling procedures for materials and ESD-sensitive items
- Lift and transport materials weighing up to 50 lbs regularly
- Complete required documentation and adhere to standard operating procedures
- Identify and troubleshoot issues related to inventory discrepancies or material flow
- Support process improvements and participate in team-based activities
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of experience in warehousing, receiving, or manufacturing
- Proficient in basic math and computer data entry
- Ability to read and understand work instructions, blueprints, and engineering drawings
- Familiarity with material handling tools and electro-static discharge protocols
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills; team-oriented
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a physical warehouse/manufacturing environment
- Capable of managing multiple variables and resolving routine issues independently
Preferred Experience:
- Background in industrial manufacturing or stockroom operations
- Experience with electronic material handling systems and processes
