Material Handler - Graphic Packaging Holding : Job Details

Location: Staunton, VA, US, 24401

Department: Hourly Plant & Mill (Except Maintenance Roles)

Travel: No Travel Required

Primary Responsibilities are, but not limited to the following:

• Check load tags and job jackets
• Check condition of material
• Removes product from printing department in an organized fashion
• Places product in die cutting staging area in an organized fashion
• Operates the aerator to prepare loads for die cutting
• Operation/maintenance of forklift trucks and pallet jacks
• Ensure that prescribed safety measures are followed
• Comply with company policies, procedures, rules and regulations
• Performs other related duties as assigned
• Maintain product flow from the cutting department to the finishing department

Ideally the individual that would be a strong fit for this position would have some of the following knowledge/skills and abilities:

• Proficient in reading required paperwork
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems
• Thorough knowledge of safety regulations, occupational hazards and related safety precautions in the work
• Operate an electrical and manual pallet jack

An individual in this position must be able to learn and demonstrate the following skills:

• Manual Pallet Jack Operation
• Electrical Pallet Jack Operation
