Material Handler - PPC Partners : Job Details

Material HandlerPrimary Responsibilities* Safely load, unload, and transport electrical materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites, warehouses, and staging areas.* Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move and organize inventory.* Assist electricians by delivering necessary materials to designated work areas, ensuring timely availability to support project schedules.* Maintain accurate inventory records, including tracking material usage and reporting discrepancies.* Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and participation in safety training sessions.* Collaborate with warehouse and project management teams to coordinate material deliveries and returns.* Perform routine inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs or safety concerns.* Keep work areas clean and organized to promote a safe and efficient working environmentQualifications* This is a union position - must be willing to join the union* High school diploma or equivalent.* Valid driver's license; CDL may be required for certain positions.* Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.* Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs. and perform tasks that require bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.* Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and communication purposes.* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.* Prior experience in material handling, warehouse operations, or construction support is preferred.
