PURPOSE OF POSITIONCount, issue, and transport raw material, sub assemblies, and assemblies throughout the facility. Perform all required inventory transactions on computer system. Responsible for inventory accuracy.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS· Kit, move, relieve shortages, and perform other computer transactions as required· Perform material counts in accordance with established procedures· Investigate Inventory Discrepancies as required· Keep work area clean and orderly per 5S· Become fully cross-trained in all Material Handling roles/responsibilities within Gems· Make copies of work orders when necessary· Get prints and Bill of Materials as necessary· Fill epoxy machine· Be able to balance daily tasks with project work.· Perform other miscellaneous indirect labor activities as assigned· May handle hazardous wasteQUALIFICATION AND JOB REQUIREMENTS· High School education or equivalent preferred. (5 years of experience required in place of High School Diploma or GED.)· 6 months work experience in Manufacturing preferred· Additional inventory related experience preferred.OTHER FUNCTIONSMay be assigned various projects and responsibilities, at the sole discretion of the Senior Manufacturing Supervisor and VP Global Operations.PHYSICAL DEMANDS / ENVIRONMENTThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
