Material Handler - Illinois Staffing : Job Details

We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our team on the 1st Shift. In this role, you will spend 50% of your time operating a forklift and the remaining time on various warehouse and production tasks. Your responsibilities will include replenishing lines, transporting materials to production lines, and loading and unloading trucks.

Responsibilities:

• Replenish production lines with necessary materials.
• Load and unload trucks efficiently.
• Check in drivers and manage incoming shipments.
• Operate sit-down electric forklifts indoors and sit-down propane forklifts outdoors.
• Pick up, weigh, and wrap skids and boxes.
• Move products around the facility.
• Count, weigh, and verify skids and boxes.

Essential Skills:

• Proficiency in operating sit-down propane and electric forklifts with at least 2 years of experience.
• Experience in shipping and receiving operations.
• Computer skills for inventory management and replenishing tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Bilingual capabilities are a plus.
• Experience with cycle counts, labeling, and general labor tasks.
• Proficiency in using RF scan guns for inventory management.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Broadview, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
