Primary Job Title:Material HandlerAlternate/Related Job Titles: Warehouse Material Specialist Inventory Control Associate Shipping and Receiving CoordinatorLocation:Wilsonville, OROnsite Flexibility:OnsiteContract Details: Position Type: Contract Contract Duration: 5 months + possible extension Start: Not specified End: Not specified Pay Rate: $24.50/hour Shift/Hours: Standard business hours; flexibility required for occasional later work on short noticeJob Summary:The Material Handler performs physical and administrative tasks to support the storage, distribution, and order fulfillment of materials, supplies, and equipment. This role ensures high inventory accuracy, supports multiple departments including Receiving, Manufacturing, Service, Engineering, and Shipping, and maintains meticulous records of all transactions in SAP.Key Responsibilities: Maintain extremely high inventory accuracy, verifying part numbers, revisions, and counts. Accurately transact material and troubleshoot discrepancies such as missing materials or inventory errors. Pull materials for work orders, Kanban bins, and engineering projects; count, stock, label, and transact into specified locations. Work closely with Purchasing, Planning, and Quality on material disposition. Complete cycle and periodic counts, perform root cause analysis, and correct errors to prevent recurrence. Assist other departments with material analysis in SAP and Excel. Occasionally assist Receiving with POs and RMAs, and Shipping with sales/service orders, shipment preparation, and carrier coordination.Required Experience: 0-5 years in a low-volume, high-complexity electronics warehousing, shipping, receiving, or supply chain environment. Knowledge and experience with ERP/MRP systems, preferably SAP. Ability to research and resolve moderately complex SAP issues.Nice-to-Have Experience: Familiarity with FedEx, UPS, freight forwarders, and freight companies. Experience in supply chain management support.Required Skills: Strong computer aptitude; proficiency in Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and browser navigation. Very high attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Physical Requirements: Lift up to 40 lbs occasionally; handle materials up to 225 lbs with assistance. Spend ~70% of the workday standing.Additional Skills: Positive attitude and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
