JOB DESCRIPTIONResponsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, and tracking of materials throughout the supply chain,ensuring that products are available when needed as well as shipping and receiving support.Key Responsibilities and Duties:Receiving and inspecting incoming materials: Ensuring the correct quantities and quality of materials receivedand inspecting for any damage.Storing materials: Organizing materials in designated locations and maintaining proper labeling.Moving materials: Transporting materials to and from production or storage areas, loading docks, delivery trucks, and manufacturing areas, often using equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks.Maintaining inventory: Identifying, labeling, recording the location of inventory, and reporting shortages.Picking and packing materials: Selecting and preparing materials for orders or production needs.Loading and unloading: Safely loading and unloading inventory from various locations using material handling equipment.Maintaining a clean and safe work environment: Following all safety procedures and guidelines, and ensuring the workspace is clean and organized.Required Skills and Qualifications:Teledyne Confidential; Commercially Sensitive Business DataPhysical stamina and ability to lift heavy items: Material handling often involves physical labor, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail: Maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring proper labeling and storage are crucial.Ability to operate material handling equipment: Experience with, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment is often preferred.Ability to work independently and as part of a team: Material handlers need to be able to follow instructions and collaborate with colleagues and supervisors.Good communication skills: Effective communication is essential for interacting with supervisors, team members, and suppliers.Basic computer skills: Used for managing inventory records and related software.About The Company:Leading provider of advanced sensing solutions for thermal imaging, visible-light imaging, location, measurement, and threat detection.
