Job Title: Material HandlerJob DescriptionJoin our team at an anaerobic digestion facility located in St. Bernard, Ohio. The position involves working from Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 4 PM, with occasional Saturdays from 8 AM to 12 PM. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with the potential for a permanent position.ResponsibilitiesLoad and unload various size containers such as totes, drums, tankers, and trailers.Construct boxes and/or fiber containers, and stack, label, and load containers.Utilize a variety of tools such as impact wrenches, shovels, and jackhammers.Transport hazardous waste materials within the facility as directed.Decontaminate and dispose of empty drums and containers according to RCRA and disposal guidelines.Assist in completing all necessary paperwork for processing materials, including transportation of materials to and from various locations.Perform general housekeeping duties and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.Inspect material handling equipment as directed.Assist in the loading and unloading of hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials at designated sites using appropriate equipment for which training has been provided.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsExperience in handling hazardous waste.Proficiency in using forklifts, hand tools, and power tools.Familiarity with the chemical industry.40-Hour HAZWOPER training certification.Experience in material handling equipment.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED.Prior work experience of 3 to 6 months in the hazardous waste or chemical industry.Forklift operating experience.Why Work Here?This role offers an opportunity for growth and the potential to become a permanent position.
