Material Handler - Missouri Staffing : Job Details

Contract Type: Temp (12 months)

Pay: $21.00 / hr

Shift/Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Essential Duties:

Administrative:

• Morning inventory system updates and administrative reporting
• Preparing or supporting inventory reports for management when requested
• Processing material requisitions and tracking documentation
• Supporting procurement processes with accurate record-keeping
• Coordinating material movements and updating tracking systems
• Resolving inventory discrepancies through administrative investigation
• Follow safety protocols and ensure adherence to PPE policies
• Transition between administrative tasks and physical inventory management

Material Handling:

• Receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments
• Transport materials to designated storage or production areas
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely
• Ensure materials are properly labeled and stored

Stock Room Operations:

• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient stockroom
• Issue materials to departments as requested
• Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or overages
• Update inventory records in the ERP or inventory management system

Cycle Counting:

• Conduct scheduled and unscheduled cycle counts
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
• Record and report count results and variances
• Assist with inventory audits and reconciliation

Basic Qualifications:

Physical Demands:

• Employees are required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Employees are required to walk, stand, bend and lift throughout the day
• This position requires the ability to stand for extended periods, including full shifts as part of the essential job and responsibilities
• The position requires the employee to be on-site during the scheduled shift to perform daily duties and responsibilities
