Material Handler-MSResponsibilitiesWHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: Implement inventory location plans, maintain inventory locations, and establish new inventory locations as needed. Ensure that all items are properly located, stored and identified. Document all material moves. Transfer material systematically from the store to the line locations using handheld tablets. Create new locations in the system for new product being delivered to the line. Control, inspect, and locate materials and inventory in the plant, including, but not limited to, unloading incoming freight, moving materials from the receiving dock to the production lines, moving finished goods from the production lines to the shipping dock, and loading outgoing freight. Perform various material handling duties, to include, but not be limited to driving shipping truck, fork truck, hand truck, etc. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of inventory storage locations. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of physical plant, i.e., keep aisle ways, docks, etc. swept free of debris and uncluttered. Assist in performing cycle counting and physical inventory activities. Must have prompt and regular attendance. Must report all accidents/injuries to department supervisor immediately.ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Additional duties as assigned by your supervisor. Follow all safety rules, policies and procedures. Keep work area clean, neat and orderly.QualificationsWE THINK YOU'LL THRIVE IF YOU: Are able to read prints and boards. Have good written and verbal communication skills Have basic math skills Have broad knowledge of parts and products produced Have basic office skills such as typing, filing and basic computer knowledge. Have the ability to work independently Have a valid Driver's License Have a Forklift Certification Have a high school diploma or GED PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Rarely (0-12%): Occasionally (12-33%): Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling Frequently (34-66%): Standing/Walking Regularly (67-100%): Seeing/Hearing/Lifting/Pulling/Pushing WORKING CONDITION: General plant environment.
