Material Handler - Combined Metals of Chicago : Job Details

HoursMonday - Friday 1st shift: 6am-2pmEssential FunctionsAccurately loads material and meticulously monitors machine's process and finished product.Setup the production equipment and supplies before executing the job orders.Properly completes production paperwork and utilizes a barcoding system.Maintains accurate logbooks and other administrative duties. Must have a basic understanding of computers.Reviews and follows shipping order instructions and specifications.Operate the equipment safely and effectively.Perform warehouse responsibilities.Ability to operate an air compressed bander Ability to read packaging instructions and work ordersInspect equipment to identify any replacements, malfunctions, and repairs. Follow safety procedures and company policies for equipment operation.Recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and safety.Basic math skillsForklift certification/experience Expected to be able to handle tasks/cross-train to help the company meet its goals. Required Education and Experience:Education and/or experience - High School degree or equivalent. Prior experience or training in a related field or manufacturing environment preferred.Math - Must be able to use and understand simple mathematics, using addition, subtraction, fractions and decimals.
