Material Handler - Goodwill Industries of Central Michigan's Heartland : Job Details

To assist with loading/unloading trucks and general transfer of merchandise. Essential Duties: Continually load or unload trucks for daily store runs. Correctly follow all weighing procedures. Transfer seasonal merchandise and salvage merchandise. Transfer carts and Gaylords to the appropriate holding area within the plant. Fill out appropriate paperwork as required. Maintain a safe and orderly work environment. Follow safety procedures and report injuries and safety hazards. Maintain good housekeeping skills including sweeping and cleaning work area at the end of shift. Develop and maintain skills to adjust to increased level of truck runs and incoming merchandise. Ability to work productively without close supervision. Ability to work cooperatively and professionally with all employees, participants, customers and consumers working with and for Goodwill Industries.
