Job Description:Saab in East Syracuse is seeking a Material Handler to join the Manufacturing/ Production team. Responsibilities will include: Package, ship and prepare paperwork for all domestic and international shipmentsComplete import paperwork and clear imports with Freight ForwardersWork with Freight Forwarder on palletized shipments both domestic and internationalUnpack and check goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintain records of received goods and reject unsatisfactory itemsPick, kit and issue production materials to various departments within the companyExamine, stock and distribute materials in inventory and on manufacturing linesPerform inventory and daily cycle countsAcquire quotes from Freight Forwarder for future incoming & outgoing shipmentsLift heavy items and operate a forkliftMaintain off site warehouseResolve complex stockroom issuesCompensation Range: $19.71 - $22.74The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.Skills and Experience:2+ years of relevant experienceExperience with packing/shipping data entryPrior experience with best commercial packaging practicesWorking knowledge of Oracle MRP Inventory Management principles and Shipping/Receiving modulesAbility to multi-task and prioritize workloadExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsKnowledge of MS Excel and Oracle (or similar accounting system) desiredForklift certificationCitizenship Requirements:Must be a U.S. citizen.
