Material Handler II - 1st shift - Essilor of America : Job Details

The Materials Handler II works closely with the Logistics Lead/ Facility Leadership to ensure the success of the day-to-day operations of the Rx. O Logistics team. This is a hands-on position that assists the Supervisory team with managing labor, supporting, and guiding the workflow and processes, training/cross-training new and tenured associates in all functions required. They help to provide continuous improvement ideas and implementation of new processes to team members to ensure consistency and understanding. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Understand product/data flow through the entire Logistics process (i.e. Receiving unload, Receiving, put away, Letdown, Picking, Staging, and Shipping processes) Identify, diagnose, document, and resolve associate/process/software issues understanding the root cause and steps to correction Communicate internally and externally, via in person, phone, and email with support, associates, leadership, vendors and carriers.
