Job Description

As a Material Handler I, you will play a pivotal role in our Engineering team, supporting critical operations and ensuring flawless execution of tasks. Your contributions will be essential in maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and efficiency.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Aliquoting both infectious and non-infectious serum and plasma units for customer samples, testing samples, and replenishing the sample bank inventory.
  • Strictly following all SOPs, Test Specifications, and Order Processing for customer specifications.
  • Crafting, performing, and completing cycle counts on time using the ABC process.
  • Crafting labels for tubes and bottles according to specifications and maintaining a library of labels based on customer requirements.
  • Maintaining all sampling logs, files, and associated paperwork.
  • Entering data and keeping department data files current.
  • Reviewing and signing off on monthly log sheets for weight balance, laminar flow hoods, and eyewash stations.
  • Providing outstanding support to meet and exceed external customer expectations by ensuring order fulfillment accuracy, order completion, and timely delivery metrics.
  • Thoroughly decontaminating the laminar flow hood on a weekly basis per Standard Operating Procedures.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work within a freezer environment for short periods of time

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with a concentration in Biology, Chemistry, or a related science
  • Experience with Microsoft Software (Word, Excel, Office)
  • Preferred experience with SAP / Oracle ERP systems
  • Experience in a Life Science, cGMP/ISO environment, including clean rooms in a manufacturing department role
  • Label printing software experience
