Material Handler - 2nd Shift - Illinois Tool Works : Job Details

This hybrid role is responsible for both ensuring product quality through final inspection and supporting manufacturing operations by operating parts washing equipment. The technician will perform a range of duties including inspection of parts, verifying product documentation, cleaning parts, preparing shipments, and loading/unloading trucks. The role requires adherence to safety, quality, productivity, and housekeeping standards while supporting overall plant operations. Final Inspection Duties. Performs quality inspections, document, and record inspection results using a variety of inspection equipment. Perform grain flow testing on automotive components to ensure material integrity and adherence to specification. Analyze and interpret grain flow patterns to assess the quality and structural soundness of materials. Carry out various laboratory tests, including hardness testing, tensile testing, and metallographic examination.
