Job Details

Join us as a Material Handler at S&C Electric Company, a 100% employee-owned organization dedicated to maintaining reliable power infrastructure worldwide. This role involves transporting materials within our manufacturing facility, operating forklifts, and supporting our production processes.

Shift and Compensation
  • Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (Monday - Friday)
  • Overtime: Voluntary
  • Base pay: $19.60/hr (range: $19.60/hr)

This role is eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus. We are committed to transparent and equitable pay practices.

Responsibilities
  • Use a tugger to deliver materials to designated locations within the facility.
  • Utilize trigger cards and internal applications to identify material needs.
  • Complete forklift training and certification.
  • Review job orders and drawings to determine required materials.
  • Use Oracle ERP to manage part information.
  • Maintain safety and quality standards and meet departmental targets.
  • Follow company policies and collaborate with team members for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of experience in material handling or a related manufacturing role.
  • At least 1 year of forklift operation with a safe driving record.
  • Ability to operate electric forklifts indoors and outdoors.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Good communication skills and basic computer proficiency.
  • Basic math skills and ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Willingness to follow safety procedures and report concerns.
Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles.
