Receiving, verifying, and counting stock items and keeping record of the corresponding data as appropriate. Verifying specific inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock. Investigating inventory discrepancies and reconciling errors accordingly. Packing and unpacking items to be stocked on shelves in material storage areas. Marking stock items using identification tags, stamps, electronic marking tools, and other labeling equipment. Cleaning and maintaining supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Determining proper storage methods based on stock location, turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of the facility. Storing stock items in an orderly, safe and accessible manner within the warehouses, supply rooms, material storage and lay down areas. Examining and inspecting stock items for wear or defects, and subsequently reporting any damage to supervisors.
