Role Overview

The Food & Beverage Director is responsible for ensuring attentive, friendly, courteous, and efficient service across all F&B Outlets (Restaurant, Room Service, Lounge, Market, and Banquets). This includes maintaining adherence to budgeted payroll and overhead costs, continually working to improve sales revenues, and directing the activities of the Food and Beverage Department to ensure high-quality food service and a positive work environment. The role may also involve functioning as a Chef as required, with management-level associates expected to work as much as necessary to fulfill their responsibilities.

Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field, with a 2-year college degree and 3+ years of related experience, or a 4-year degree with 1-2 years of experience, or a Culinary Degree with 1-2 years of experience.
  • Applicable certifications such as Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, and First Aid.
  • Proficiency in Windows OS, spreadsheets, and word processing.
  • Extensive experience in restaurant bar, banquet, catering, in-room dining, and kitchen management.
  • Strong communication skills, ability to evaluate options quickly, work under pressure, and handle problems effectively.
  • Ability to understand financial data, forecast, budget, and manage labor and purchasing for maximum productivity.
  • Knowledge of hotel organization and industry trends.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with technological proficiency.
Responsibilities
  • Organize, direct, supervise, and assist in the preparation and service of food and beverages across all outlets, maintaining high standards.
  • Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, safety, and cost control in all food service areas.
  • Plan meals and service, guide kitchen staff, and oversee operations including kitchen, service, beverage, and banquet departments.
  • Manage access to sensitive areas and information, handle cash, and interact with guests and colleagues professionally.
  • Maintain trust, exercise sound judgment, and represent the company positively.
