Job Description :
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Reports directly to the Administrator. Responsible for developing and updating a written marketing plan at least annually and presenting to the Administrator for discussion and approval. Responsible for supervising, selecting and evaluating marketing personnel.
Searches for new and innovative services and products that can be provided or arranged by our private duty agency. Identifies specialty health care programs, which require intense development and ongoing special attention after maturity and full implementation. Routinely discusses new ideas with Administrator to determine which ideas should be implemented and their priority. Creates a clear, written definition of the specialty health care programs, including its goals and benefits to the agency and its clients/patients. Researches health care program feasibility and profitability. Prepares written reports on the difficulty/ease of implementation and a projection of profits and cash flow. Works cooperatively with the Administrator and management to develop a written plan with goals, objectives, staff responsibilities and time tables. Actively communicates with Administrator and management team to identify new and appropriate areas of improvement and additions in home care services and products. Works with the Business Development Representatives to communicate with all area health care providers to educate those providers and social service agencies concerning the Company's provision of home care, to coordinate outside services to the company's patients to ensure continuity of care, to generally work toward smooth and harmonious working relationships. Assembles appropriate company staff in scheduling and conducting educational and training programs for outside health care providers, payers and organizations concerning, services and products offered by the company and coverage criteria. Consults with the Administrator and managements teams on changes in the area health care system. Projects trends and upcoming events in health care delivery. Finds other health care providers who will work cooperatively with the company in providing a wide array of varying health care services and products. Develops and maintains a formal network of such providers to assure that patients receive complete and appropriate care in a coordinated environment. Works within the community to explore community needs and health problems that may be appropriately met by the company. Supervises Business Development Representatives and assure they adhere to their job description in carrying out the goals of the company. Attends all In-service and staff conferences as assigned by supervisor. Maintains confidentiality of information related to business practices, business activities, and personnel. Maintains a professional attitude when working with the staff, fostering the team philosophy and team environment for all personnel. Keeps supervisor informed of findings on a daily basis, when necessary Abides by all agency policies and procedures.
