Marketing Rep/UnitRequisition IDreq31354Working TitleMarketing Rep/UnitPosition Grade11Position SummaryThe Alumni Relations Office has an exciting opportunity to contribute to the operations of a great team while also serving as an important connection between the Alumni Association, the Alumni Relations Office, and The University of New Mexico. The Marketing Rep will be responsible for developing and coordinating a wide variety of programming and marketing programs and activities. The successful candidate will have a diverse skill set across multiple medias, the ability to organize and multi-task, develop relationships, and assist in developing program analytics. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Writes and edits copy for promotional and informational materials such as emails, programs, social media platforms and newsletters with attention to detail.
  • Responds to requests for information from volunteers and other alumni; assists with promotional materials, including flyers and brochures.
  • Assists in designing, coordinating, and preparing remarks for presentations, marketing programs, publicity efforts, and promotional campaigns; participates in identification and resolution of related problems.
  • As appropriate to the position, assists with implementation of outreach and alumni community events and promotional activities.
  • Assists in market research activities to identify targeted alumni populations, as well increased revenue opportunities through sponsorships, ad sales, and other increased revenue opportunities.
  • Assists in the identification of new opportunities to engage alums and volunteers.
  • Oversees the production of routine program and promotional materials.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign; Photoshop; Illustrator
  • Experience in managing email-based marketing efforts and email design
  • Proofreading and editing skills
  • Experience in brand management and creative content
  • Experience in marketing platform analytics
  • Attention to detail
