Responsibilities The Marketing & Events Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the drive of traffic and sales to The Shops at Columbus Circle. This individual will partner closely with the Marketing Director in creating and executing marketing initiatives, tactics, programming, activations, tenant relations, onsite signage and promotions, as well as website content. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Retail Marketing:
- Contribute to strategic direction of relevant retailer partnerships in marketing programs to support their business and add value to overall marketing efforts and drive traffic and sales for the shopping center
- Manage and edit monthly content calendars encompassing website, newsletters, blogs, employee app, social media
- Execute social media monthly brief for agency to inform their content schedule based on tenant and partner promotions, events, shop and restaurant information, local happenings, etc.
- Review and update all website content including hero rotators, event listings, store listings, crafting blogs, etc. implementing SEO and analytic learnings in tandem with website development team
- Track inventory of assets and manage on-site signage -- printing vendors, quality assurance, scheduling installations/removals and digital signage uploads/expirations, creative refreshes, inventory reporting
- Develop and sustain strong relationships with vendors, clients, and most importantly with retail and restaurant tenants ensuring weekly/bi-weekly in-store check-ins and communications
Tourism:
- Work with tour operators as well as customer experience team on concierge and tourism outreach/platform management
- Coordinate distribution of visitor guides to local hotel concierge and accommodation partners
- Assist with identifying strategic tourism partnerships with emphasis on identifying areas and opportunities for traffic and sales growth
Events:
- Overall project management of 3rd party events inclusive of; tracking inbound event sales leads, proposals, contracts, insurance, invoices, billing, creative approvals, marketing, PR, manage on-site build outs including non-business hour load-ins and load-outs, internal & external communication, event execution, and post-event summaries including photos, stats, etc.
- Liaise with security, housekeeping, engineering and ensuring proper event permitting when necessary
- Monitor client invoicing by working closely with event sales, accounting and operations teams
- Assist with conceptualization and execution of branded activations, programs and events to drive visitation and conversion to the shopping center
- Maintain a good 'finger on the pulse' of branded events and programs throughout NYC
Administrative Tasks:
- Oversee contract matrix for marketing and events, ensuring all vendor contracts and COIs are current and filed
- Provide regular status reports and briefings for functional leadership team
- Keep current tenant, partner, concierge, and vendor contact sheets
- Maintain online Box organization and diligent file saving
- Canvass and understand industry and market competition for local, domestic and international audiences
- Support Operations team with property upkeep and improvement projects as needed
Compensation The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. In addition to a competitive base salary, you will be eligible to receive discretionary bonus incentives and a comprehensive benefits package. Anticipated base salary range: $31.25 - $36.06 / hour Actual base salary within the anticipated range will be determined by several components including, but not limited to, the individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and market factors. - Bachelor's Degree with 2+ years of experience in Marketing or related field
- Experienced team player, showing leadership and ownership of projects and responsibilities
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Creative and strategic thinker with a solutions-oriented and growth mindset
- Self-starter who is proactive, resourceful, and adaptable
- Exercises strong attention to detail and careful listening
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Fluency and literacy of multi-channel marketing tactics and platforms (i.e. social media, OOH, digital advertising, onsite advertising, owned channels, etc.)
- Work evening & weekend events including load ins/outs
- Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs.
