In Search Of: Full-time hourly Marketing & Digital Communications Coordinator

Position Summary

The Marketing & Digital Communications Coordinator will serve as the primary liaison for branch-level communications and support the execution of association-wide social media strategy. This role focuses on creating consistent, engaging content and ensuring cohesive messaging across all YMCA locations, with emphasis on promoting programs, special events, and community engagement initiatives.

Hourly Rate: $16.00-$18.00/hour based on education/experience

Location: Split Association Service Center & North Canton YMCA

Reports to: Marketing and Communications Director and Branch Associate Executive Director

Key Responsibilities

Branch-Level Communication (North Canton YMCA)

  • Design and distribute print materials including gym schedules, informational notices, andin-house promotional program flyers.
  • Update in-branch digital signage as needed
  • Manage and maintain branch reservation calendars.
  • Develop digital ads for school newsletters and local outreach (using Adobe tools).
  • Serve as communication liaison to ensure alignment of branch promotions with associationgoals.

Association-Wide Social Media & Digital Marketing (Association Service Center)

  • Manage all YMCA of Central Stark County social media channels (Facebook, Instagram,etc.) ensuring consistent branding and tone.
  • Create, manage, and monitor a comprehensive social media content calendar across allplatforms.
  • Develop creative content (graphics, videos, stories) to engage diverse audiences andpromote YMCA programs and community impact.
  • Track and analyze traffic and engagement data; prepare monthly reports with actionableinsights.
  • Build authentic online relationships with members, prospects, and program participantsthrough social media interaction.

Email and Digital Communications

  • Coordinate mass email and SMS communications, ensuring timely distribution ofpromotional messages and newsletters.
  • Manage and update customer contact lists and segmented audiences.

Creative Design & Content Production

  • Use Adobe Creative Cloud to produce high-quality print and digital materials, includingflyers, social media graphics, newsletters, race promotions, and association publications.
  • Capture, edit, and produce multimedia content (photography, video, audio) to supportdigital campaigns and community storytelling.

Website Oversight

  • Maintain and update YMCA of Central Stark County's website, focusing on usability, visualappeal, and accurate content.

Program and Event Promotion

  • Develop and execute marketing plans for signature events (e.g., annual races), includingthemed promotions, website registration pages, and sponsor engagement materials.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Visual Communications, Multimedia Design, Marketing, or equivalentprofessional experience.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in social media management and website administration.
  • Photography and videography experience preferred.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple ongoing projects independently.
