Summary

The Market People Partner serves as a trusted HR advisor and leader for the NAPA People (HR) team in their assigned area, implementing high-impact people initiatives. Reporting to the Director, People, they partner closely with leaders to develop strategic alignment and guidance on core People functions such as talent acquisition, talent planning, onboarding, learning and development, employee engagement, performance management, compensation, and compliance. The role ensures engagement of NAPA's growing employee workforce by managing all components of the employee lifecycle to drive strategic priorities.

Responsibilities
  • Proactively consult with NAPA leadership to fulfill short and long-term talent needs through effective talent acquisition, planning, and retention efforts.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition team to review staffing needs and ensure facilities are adequately staffed.
  • Assess workforce capabilities, identify gaps, and provide targeted development experiences.
  • Maintain high standards in performance management, employee coaching, discipline documentation, and employment records.
  • Manage employee programs including onboarding, training, compliance, and offboarding.
  • Support employee events like performance reviews, leadership meetings, engagement surveys, safety programs, and benefits enrollment.
  • Collect, report, and analyze data across the employee lifecycle to inform decisions and improve retention and engagement strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Process payroll accurately for hourly and salaried staff.
  • Maintain employee data within HRIS systems and ensure documentation compliance.
  • Handle unemployment claims and support benefits administration.
  • Implement HR operations across all sites within the designated area.
  • Stay informed on HR trends, regulations, and technologies.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma with 5 years of HR process implementation in a high-growth environment.
  • At least 1 year of experience leading teams and driving results without direct reporting authority.
  • Strong collaboration skills and experience supporting multiple locations.
  • Deep understanding of HR functions: talent acquisition, onboarding, learning and development, engagement, performance management, compensation, and compliance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with HRIS systems and analytics tools.
  • Ability to manage complex HR challenges and align solutions with business goals.
  • Experience with payroll, compliance, benefits, and unemployment claims processing.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and knowledge of HR laws and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Over 5 years of HR experience with 2+ years leading teams.
  • SHRM or HRCI certification (SHRM-SCP or SPHR) is a plus.
  • Experience with Workday and Kronos systems.
  • Experience in warehouse, distribution, or retail environments.
