Title: Energy Market Evaluation Analyst

Location: Carmel, IN

Schedule: Hybrid, 4 days onsite, 1 remote

Salary: $120k-$140k

Must Haves:

• Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Economics, Operations Research, or other related field
• Experience at an RTO, ISO, Utility, or market participants
• Experience in some if not all of the following:
• energy market forecasting and analysis
• power system analysis and operation and associated software development
• data science
• statistical and econometrics analysis
• market design
• optimization algorithms
• Experience with data analysis tools and programming languages (Power BI, Python, Azure preferred)
• Experience creating metrics, visualizations and reports and then automating them and setting alerts

Plusses:

• RTO or ISO experience

Insight Global is looking for a Energy Market Evaluation Analyst to support one of our largest clients in Carmel, IN. The Energy Market Evaluation Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the reliability and efficiency of the power grid serving 45 million people by analyzing market operations and system performance. This position involves conducting economic studies, evaluating market outcomes, identifying operational issues, and leveraging advanced data technologies to solve complex business problems. The analyst communicates insights and recommendations to stakeholders, leads key projects to enhance analytical capabilities, and mentors team members. Success in the role includes developing impactful metrics and visualizations, automating reporting processes, collaborating with subject matter experts, and managing customer requests and strategic initiatives.
