Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Marine Pipefitters for projects located in San Diego, CA. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $30/hour based on experience plus $150/per diem for travelers 60+ miles from the job site. If you are a Marine Pipefitter eager to master your skills while working alongside our accomplished Craft Professionals, this is your chance to advance your career!Job Scope: Install and maintain ships piping systems such as; steam, heat and power, hot water, hydraulic, air pressure and oil linesReading blueprints, layouts and work ordersWorking with hand tools and shop machinesPlan layout of pipe sections, cuts and bore holes in bulkheads and decks for installation of pipesOperate shop machines to cut and thread pipe and pipe fittings including; valves, traps and thermostatsBend pipe to specified shapeBolt on pipe bending fixturesBolt or weld brackets to support pipe systemsConnect pipes to fixtures such as heat exchangers, laundry and galley equipment, pumps, tanks and other ship equipmentRepair packs and adjust valvesTest installed systems for leaks and ensure systems meet specificationsPerform other related tasks assignedMust have OSHA 10, Maritime and Firewatch CertificationsMust be able to pass a drug screening and background checkMust be able to obtain DBIDSHigh school diploma or equivalenteducationPreferred 2+ years of on the job training in pipefitting or 3+ years of experience is requiredTradesmen International not only offers consistent work, top pay, and employment opportunities, we also provide a benefits package that is among the best in the industry.
