Title: Marine Asset Manager

Responsibilities:
- Manage Capital Expenditure (Capex) budgets and long-term financial projections specific to MTC's marine fleet of boats and barges.
- Develop, maintain, and communicate MTC's rolling 5-year Capex plan.
- Conduct in-depth analysis, modeling, and trend reporting for both Operational Expenses (Opex) and Capital Expenses (Capex).
- Create and manage a comprehensive vessel component failure history database to support proactive and preventative maintenance decision-making.
- Generate and maintain timely reports related to vessel maintenance and repair—daily, monthly, quarterly, and annually.
- Collaborate closely with the Accounting department to ensure accuracy in daily, month-end, and year-end reporting cycles.
- Manage workflow integration between field operations and the office, ensuring accurate and up-to-date entry into the work order management system.
- Conduct weekly coordination with the FP&A team to deliver transparent expense reporting to operations and executive leadership.
- Develop maintenance and repair forecasts based on historical data, trends, and upcoming project needs.
- Participate in cross-functional teams and support additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marine Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Strong knowledge of marine assets, systems, and componentry.
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of the Marine Industry and Marquette's operational model.
- Demonstrate excellence in analytical and quantitative problem-solving.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and relevant industry platforms such as MarineCFO.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Professional demeanor and ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
- Ability to travel approximately 2 – 5 days per month.
